Way of the Hunter 2 Season Pass: 8 DLCs, Windows and How to Verify

The Season Pass costs $34.99 on Steam, went on sale on September 29, 2026, and promises 8 DLCs across the first year after launch — but as of version 1.1 on October 3, 2026, the only thing it actually puts in your game is four statues, and those statues are the developer's official proof that the pass is live. Below is what the eight DLCs are stated to be, the three-step verification path the developer published for Steam, PlayStation and Xbox, and the two separate products players keep mistaking for the pass.

What the pass costs and what it is called

The same product has three names, which is why searches for "Season One", "Season 1" and plain "Season Pass" all land on the same page.

Where the name appears What it says
Steam product title Way of the Hunter 2 - Season Pass (appid 5128460)
Steam store copy "The Season 1 Pass"
Developer FAQ platform table "Season One Season Pass"
Buy route US price What the listing contains
Season Pass, Steam, standalone $34.99 Pass only
Steam Digital Deluxe bundle $59.98 (marked -20%) Two items listed: base game + Season Pass
Developer FAQ, Deluxe SRP $59.99 Base game + Season Pass + Heirloom Pack + 24h Early Access
PlayStation 5 / Xbox Series X|S, Deluxe $59.99 Same four components per the FAQ

One discrepancy worth knowing before you buy: the FAQ describes Deluxe as four components at $59.99, while Steam's Digital Deluxe bundle page lists only two items at $59.98. Both pages are official. Since the FAQ also says the Heirloom Pack was free with PC Early Access and is a console pre-order bonus, PC owners who want the two rifles and the bronze elk should buy it directly rather than trust the bundle list.

What is actually in the eight DLCs

The only place the pass contents are described in any detail is the "About This Content" block on the Steam page. As of October 3, 2026 it accounts for six of the eight slots.

Slot What the Steam store copy says Released?
First DLC Customising your hunting lodges with "a variety of decorative objects... more character and atmosphere" No
New hunting ground 1 "Diverse landscapes of Central Asia" No
New hunting ground 2 "Untamed wilderness of southern South America" No
Weapon pack A 3 new firearms No
Weapon pack B 3 new firearms No
Dog breed A new breed with different field abilities No
Slots 7 and 8 Not itemised anywhere public No

Two details survive the vagueness. The named regions line up with the developer's separate promise of "2 new maps" in the first post-launch year, and the same FAQ says the requested European reserve will not be among the next two — if you are buying the pass for Europe, this is not it. The new dog also matches a roadmap entry the developer has already published: version 1.0 ships no multiple dog breeds, advanced dog training is a post-launch update, and a dedicated dog DLC is planned.

The store copy runs ahead of the FAQ

The developer FAQ still says "We're not revealing the individual DLCs just yet." The Steam store copy has already outlined six pieces in broad strokes. Both are official and neither is retracted; treat the store copy as a roadmap of shapes, not a release schedule — no dates, map sizes or weapon names are published for any of them.

What is in the game right now: four statues in three places

The FAQ is blunt about the current state: "Most of the Season Pass content (new DLCs) hasn't been released yet. Right now, these statues are the only visible content."

Statue Where to find it Map size for orientation
Deer statue New Laurentia 100 km²
Dog statue Hearth & Hunt Headquarters 16 km²
Ibex statue Hearth & Hunt Headquarters 16 km²
Kudu statue Kilimaya Reserve 100 km²

All three areas are in the base game — see the maps and reserves breakdown, the New Laurentia guide and the Kilimaya guide. The FAQ calls them "trophy statues", while the trophy system in version 1.0 generates taxidermy procedurally — a separate system.

The Heirloom Pack is a separate purchase, not part of the pass

The developer pre-empts the confusion in the FAQ: "the elk statue is NOT part of this (The Heirloom Pack is not included in the Season Pass. The Season Pass and the Heirloom Pack are two separate things)."

Steam product App ID US price Contents
Season Pass 5128460 $34.99 8 DLCs over one year; four statues today
Heirloom Pack 5128450 $4.99 Engraved .243 Win rifle, matching scope, modern-looking .270 Win rifle, large bronze elk statue
Night Hunting Pack 5128420 $4.99 Low-light optics set: advanced scopes, collimator, binoculars
Lodge Decoration 5128430 $1.99 Large game-animal statues placed near the lodge entrances

All four launched September 29, 2026. The FAQ lists the Heirloom Pack as free with a PC Early Access purchase and as a PlayStation and Xbox pre-order bonus, both tied to launch. The Night Hunting Pack is free for owners of the original Way of the Hunter on all three platforms.

Do not count the $1.99 Lodge Decoration pack as proof

Its store page promises "Large, beautiful statues of game animals will now greet you near the lodge entrances", while the pass's first DLC is described as "customize your hunting lodges with a variety of decorative objects". Neither page names the other, so any overlap between them is unconfirmed. It is a separate $1.99 product that appears in Steam's DLC list but in none of the developer's FAQ platform tables. Buy it if you want statues; do not treat it as evidence that your pass is active.

How to verify your pass in three steps

Step Steam PlayStation 5 Xbox Series X|S
1. Redeem a code, if you have one Games → Activate a Product on Steam PlayStation Store → profile picture → Redeem Codes Microsoft Store app → search "Redeem" → Redeem a code
2. Confirm it is listed Library → right-click the game → Properties → DLC tab → Season Pass with a checkmark Library → look under Add-ons or DLC My Games and Apps → Menu → Manage game and add-ons
3. Confirm it is in the game Find the deer statue in New Laurentia Find the dog and ibex statues at Hearth & Hunt Find the kudu statue in Kilimaya

Step 1 only applies if you bought the pass as a code rather than in a store. If you bought it directly on Steam, PlayStation or Xbox, skip it — the developer says it should already be in your library. Note also that the pass requires the base game; Steam's page states outright that the content "requires the base game ... in order to play".

A save reload is not a restart

The developer's own fix list starts with "restarting the game completely (not just reloading a save)". Loading a save from inside a running session does not pick up newly entitled DLC.

If the pass still is not showing

Follow the developer's order exactly. They state that purchase issues "usually run directly through the retailer's support", so do not skip to the publisher first.

  1. Restart the game completely — exit to the desktop, not just a save reload.
  2. Make sure you are fully up to date. The current build as of October 3, 2026 is Update 1.1 (Version 212672), released October 1 — see the 1.1 patch notes.
  3. Contact the platform you bought from: Steam Support, Sony, or Microsoft.
  4. Only if the retailer cannot resolve it, file through THQ Nordic's Redmine tracker, including your platform, whether you bought digitally or physically, your receipt if you have it, and what you have already tried.

If you bought the game on one platform and the pass on another, stop before step 3 — it will never appear. The FAQ is explicit: "PC, PlayStation, and Xbox are separate platforms and separate purchases." That also rules out a shared library carrying the pass between accounts.

Do not confuse this with the first game's season pass

Search results for "Way of the Hunter season pass" are dominated by the first game, whose pass was a different product. Community sources describing that game's store page list two region DLCs — Aurora Shores and Tikamoon Plains — bundled with a "Hunter's Pack" holding an engraved shotgun, a car paint job and "a big wooden carved mouflon statue for the lodge", and separate community reports place that statue by the Transylvania lodge. The sequel's pass is $34.99 for eight pieces of year-one content, has delivered no regions, and its statue is the Heirloom Pack's bronze elk. If a guide tells you to look for a mouflon in Transylvania, it is about the original Way of the Hunter, not this one.

Should you buy it today

At $34.99 for eight pieces with no dates attached — the store copy outlines six of them, and only as shapes: two new regions, two weapon packs of three firearms each, a new dog breed and a lodge-customisation DLC — the pass is a bet on a roadmap, not a purchase of finished content. Cheaper options cover the parts players notice most: the $4.99 Heirloom Pack, the $4.99 Night Hunting Pack, and the $1.99 Lodge Decoration if you only want statues. The $59.99 Deluxe Edition remains the only route that bundles the base game, the pass, the Heirloom Pack and 24 hours of Early Access together. Still deciding on the base game itself? That is a different question.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many DLCs are in the Way of the Hunter 2 Season Pass? Eight, released over the course of one year following the launch of the main game, per the Steam store page and the developer FAQ.

How much is the Season Pass? $34.99 standalone on Steam. It is also included in the $59.99 Deluxe Edition on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

How do I know if my Season Pass is working? Check the DLC listing for the base game outside the client, then find the deer statue in New Laurentia, the dog and ibex statues at Hearth & Hunt Headquarters, and the kudu statue in Kilimaya Reserve.

Is the bronze elk statue part of the Season Pass? No. It is in the $4.99 Heirloom Pack, which the developer says is "not included in the Season Pass".

Can I buy the Season Pass without the Deluxe Edition? Yes. It sells standalone and can be added to a library you already own. Steam notes the content requires the base game to play.

Will the Season Pass work across platforms? No. PC, PlayStation and Xbox are separate platforms and separate purchases. A pass bought on one platform grants nothing on another.

Has any of the eight DLCs actually released? Not as of version 1.1 on October 3, 2026. The four statues are the only visible Season Pass content, and the Steam store copy identifies six of the eight pieces in broad terms with no dates attached.
